Flip over any fully iced pendant in the game. Nine times out of ten, you'll find flat stamped silver, rough prongs, maybe a tiny laser logo if they're feeling generous.
The whole industry runs on one unspoken rule: shine the front, skip the back.
At AUMPEX, we refuse.
The Secret Smirk is our answer.

The Front
48.83 grams of solid 925 sterling silver. 442 hand-set stones—421 moissanite, 21 lab-grown colored gems—packed tight, every prong aligned, every facet tuned to catch light from across the room.
That's what the world sees. That's the smirk.
But the real story is behind it.

The Back
We carved an open skylight into the back of this 30+ carat pendant and built an entire hidden scene inside it.
Why? Because mass-produced brands won't touch open-back designs on heavy pieces. They warp. Hollow out the back, and the front face bows, prongs shift, stones work loose.
So 99% of brands seal the back solid and call it done. Easier. Cheaper. Safer.
We didn't.
Six structural prototypes. Six rounds of tuning wall thickness, adding hidden internal support ribs, testing for tension and shape retention. We worked the frame until the front stone setting held steady to a 0.05mm tolerance. Zero shift. Zero flex.
All for a detail most people will never know exists.
Inside the skylight: two Ghost Riders.
Wild hair. Sharp skull features.
These aren't molded into the body. Each one is hand-carved in wax first—every curl, every edge of the jaw sculpted by hand. Then cast, polished, and hand-fitted into its slot.
Too loose, it rattles. Too tight, it won't seat.
Every supplier asked us the same question: why bother?

Crescent Moon Stage: a stage in multi-color hard enamel.
Not printed decals. Not UV epoxy that yellows and chips in a year.
Hard enamel. Hand-applied with a fine tip, kiln-fired, ground flat between every color. The same process used on high-end vintage signet rings.
Bleed under the metal lines? Scrap. Air bubble? Scrap. Uneven depth? Scrap.
We went through 9 rounds of color sampling just to nail that neon stage glow. Full production scrap rate still hovers around 30%.
Every vendor told us to switch to epoxy. Faster. Cheaper. Nobody will tell the difference on the back.
We said no. Because you will.
That's the point.
The world sees the front—the calm smile, the win that looks effortless. They ask how you did it. You don't explain. You just smirk.
But you know what's on the back. The noise. The rebellion. The energy that got you here. The two knights. The lit-up stage.
That part is for you.
Obsession isn't polishing the part everyone stares at. Anyone can do that. Obsession is hand-fitting 0.08mm components. Running 5 structural prototypes for a hidden detail. Scrapping 3 out of 10 enamel stages because they're not perfect.
We build for people who get that.
Front is flex. Back is proof.
Flip it over. We dared you.
